Holding

The petition cannot be entertained due to an inordinate delay, though the petitioner is permitted to make a fresh representation.

Summary

The petitioner, Suyog Seva Pratishthan, filed a writ petition seeking a direction for the State of Maharashtra to decide a proposal dated 06‑01‑2006. The petition was filed more than 18 years after the date of the proposal. The Court held that such a long delay precludes entertaining the petition.
