RAVI VYANKATRAO AKULWARversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The court permitted the withdrawal of the writ petition and disposed of the civil application and pending intervention application.

Summary

The State of Maharashtra, through its AGP, filed a civil application seeking permission to withdraw statements recorded in earlier orders of Writ Petition No. 7098 of 2015. The applicant requested that the writ petition be treated as withdrawn, effectively disposing of the matter. The court, after hearing counsel for the original petitioner, allowed the withdrawal of the writ petition and ordered that the civil application and a pending intervention application be disposed of. The court also granted leave to amend the prayer clause in the civil application. Consequently, the statements in the earlier orders were withdrawn and the writ petition was closed as withdrawn.
