The Court ordered the correction of the petitioner’s occupation in the title clause and directed Respondent No.4 to decide the pending representations, extending any benefit to the petitioner if his claim is upheld.
Summary
The petitioner, Jagannath Laxman Gaikwad, filed a writ petition seeking correction of his occupation in the title clause of a land record. He also requested that Respondent No.4 decide pending representations dated 5 April 2018 and 14 June 2018, which had remained unresolved for several years. The Court granted leave to amend the title clause and ordered the correction to be made immediately. It further directed Respondent No.4 to decide the pending representations in accordance with law, and to extend any benefit to the petitioner if his claims are found valid. The Court emphasized that the delay since 2018 was unacceptable and required prompt adjudication. Consequently, the writ petition was disposed of with the above directions.
