Allahabad High Court

RAGHVENDRA YADAV AND 2 OTHERSversusState of UP AND ANOTHER

Decided

Holding

The application under Section 482 is dismissed as there is no ground for interference with the interim order.

Summary

The applicants filed an application under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking interference with an interim order that had been obtained in the context of a mediation process. The matter had earlier been referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, which reported that the applicants had not complied with a May 22, 2024 order to deposit money, preventing the issuance of notices to the opposite parties. The court noted that the applicants, invoking the possibility of settlement, had already benefited from the interim order and that there was no ground for the High Court to interfere. Consequently, the court found no reason to entertain the application. The application was therefore dismissed.
