Bail is denied as the application lacks merit and no new ground is presented.
Summary
Kundan Singh Patel @ Vishal applied for bail in a case arising from S.T. No.818 of 2024, where he is charged under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. This is his second bail application; the first was rejected on 13‑Jan‑2026. The applicant offered no new ground for bail other than the time he has already spent in custody since 18‑Aug‑2024. The Court found the application devoid of merit and rejected it, directing that the trial proceed expeditiously without unnecessary adjournments. The observations are limited to the bail application and do not affect the merits of the trial.
Issues considered
- Whether the applicant is entitled to bail despite the absence of any new ground and prolonged pre‑trial detention
- Whether the earlier rejection of bail precludes a subsequent application without fresh material

1. List has been revised.
2. Heard Sri Moeez Uddin, learned counsel for applicant, Sri Sunil Kumar,
learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the material placed on record.
3. This is the second bail application on behalf of the applicant. The first one
was rejected by this Court vide order dated 13.1.2026 passed in Criminal
Misc. Bail Application No.13985 of 2025.
4. The present bail application has been filed by the applicant in S.T. No.818
of 2024, arising out of Case Crime No.577 of 2024, under Sections 103(1),
3(5), 309(6), 332(A), 317(2), 61(2)(A) BNS and 4/25 Arms Act, Police

5. Learned counsel for the applicant could not produce any new ground for
pressing the instant bail application except the period of incarceration
undergone by the applicant as he is in jail since 18.8.2024, as such, I do not
find it a fit case for grant of bail to the applicant. The instant bail application
is found devoid of merits and is, accordingly, rejected.

unnecessary adjournment to either party, in accordance with law, if there is
