Holding
The court held that the demonstrated compliance by the opposite parties defeats the contempt allegation, and therefore the contempt application is consigned to the record.
Summary
The applicants filed a contempt application alleging that the opposite parties willfully defied several orders dated 13 January, 19 January, 20 January and 17 February 2026 in Writ‑A No.179 of 2026. The opposite parties submitted an affidavit of compliance on 9 September 2026, stating that the monetary benefits ordered by the court had been provided. The court examined the affidavit and found that the compliance was satisfactory. Consequently, the contempt application was consigned to the record and the notices were discharged, leaving the applicants the option to file a fresh contempt application if any issue remains. The judgment thus dismissed the contempt proceedings on the basis of demonstrated compliance.
