Allahabad High Court

RENO 0411021057 HOME GUARD RAJWANT SINGHversusMANOJ SINGH BAGHEL DISTRICT COMMANDANT, HOMEGUARD AZAMGARH

Decided

Holding

The contempt application was dismissed as the writ court order had been complied with.

Summary

The applicant, Home Guard Rajwant Singh, filed a contempt application after the District Commandant of Homeguard, Manoj Singh Baghel, allegedly failed to comply with a writ court order. The respondent appeared before the court and submitted a compliance affidavit along with an exemption application, asserting that the writ order dated 18‑04‑2026 had been complied with by reinstating the applicant on 01‑05‑2026. The court examined the affidavit and the annexed orders, finding that the writ order had indeed been fulfilled. Consequently, the court held that there was no basis for contempt proceedings. The contempt application was dismissed and the bailable warrant issued earlier was discharged.
