Allahabad High Court

SMT. RAJ KUMARI DEVIversusANUPAM JAISWAL STATION HOUSE OFFICER POLICE STATION REOTI AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

No contempt of court was found as the alleged violators were not parties to the writ petition, leading to dismissal of the contempt application.

Summary

Smt. Raj Kumari Devi filed a contempt application alleging that opposite parties 3 and 4 violated an interim order issued in her writ petition (Writ‑B No. 270 of 2025). The court observed that those parties were not parties to the original writ proceedings. Consequently, the court held that no case for contempt existed against them. The contempt application was therefore dismissed. The court, however, permitted the applicant to seek the impleadment of the said parties in the pending writ petition if she wishes to bring them within the jurisdiction of the interim order.
