Allahabad High Court

NARENDRA KUMAR SAXENAversusHEM SINGH, ADM (FINANCE AND REVENUE)

Decided

Holding

The contempt application is dismissed as infructuous because the opposite party complied with the writ Court's order.

Summary

The High Court, while disposing of Writ-A No. 14804 of 2023 on 14 September 2023, directed the opposite party to decide the representation of the applicant, Narendra Kumar Saxena. The opposite party filed a compliance affidavit on 15 July 2024, stating that the representation decision was made on 30 April 2024 and attaching the decision as annexure. The applicant subsequently filed a contempt application (Civil) No. 3094 of 2024, alleging non‑compliance with the earlier order. Upon reviewing the compliance affidavit and the annexure, the Court found that the order of the writ Court had indeed been complied with. Consequently, the Court held that the contempt application was rendered infructuous, dismissed it, and discharged the contempt notice. The judgment was delivered by Hon'ble Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal on 23 April 2026.
