Allahabad High Court

SUNIL KUMAR PALversusSHRI MANISH KUMAR VERMA

Decided

Holding

The contempt application is consigned to the record, allowing the applicant to challenge the order before the appropriate forum.

Summary

The applicant, Sunil Kumar Pal, filed a contempt petition alleging that the opposite party, Shri Manish Kumar Verma, failed to comply with a court order dated 30 October 2026 in Writ C No. 37323 of 2025, which required the opposite party to consider the applicant's application. The court noted that the opposite party had issued instructions on 14 August 2026 rejecting the claim, and this fact was not disputed. The court directed that a copy of the instructions be served on the applicant's counsel and recorded the instructions as Appendix‑A. The contempt petition was therefore consigned to the record, leaving the applicant free to challenge the order in the appropriate forum. No substantive merits of the contempt claim were decided, and the matter was left open for further litigation.
