The contempt application was dismissed as infructuous because the writ order had been complied with.
Summary
The High Court of Allahabad heard Contempt Application No. 5066 of 2025 filed by Moin Ahmad and another against Mukul Anand Pandey, a District Basic Education Officer. The Court noted that the respondents, including the District Officer and the Secretary of the U.P. Board of Basic Education, had filed compliance affidavits confirming that the writ order had been fully complied with as of May 1, 2026. Both parties' counsel agreed that the representation required by the writ had been decided and the compliance was documented. Given this compliance, the Court found that the basis for the contempt proceeding no longer existed. Consequently, the contempt application was deemed infructuous and was dismissed, with the contempt notice discharged.
