Allahabad High Court

MOHD ZAVEDversusSRI ABHISHEK, SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE

Decided

Holding

The contempt application is consigned to the record, allowing the applicant to approach the appropriate forum for further relief.

Summary

The applicant, Mohd Zaved, filed a contempt petition alleging that the Superintendent of Police, Sri Abhishek, failed to comply with an order dated 06‑02‑2026 in Criminal Misc. Writ Petition No. 2024 of 2026, which required the police officer to consider the applicant’s application. The court examined the record and noted that instructions dated 16‑09‑2026, showing the representation, had been produced and were not disputed. The court ordered that a copy of these instructions be served on the applicant’s counsel. Consequently, the contempt application was consigned to the record, leaving the matter open for the applicant to challenge the order before the appropriate forum. The instructions were taken on record as Appendix‑A.
