Allahabad High Court

AMOD PRATAP SINGH BHADAURIAversusSAURABH BABU, PRINCIPAL SECRETARY, GRAMYA VIKAS (RURAL DEVELOPMENT), U.P. GOVT. AND 2 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The Court found that the order had been complied with and therefore dismissed the contempt petition.

Summary

The applicant, Amod Pratap Singh Bhadauria, filed a contempt petition alleging that the respondents, including the Principal Secretary, Gramya Vikas, U.P. Government, had failed to comply with a court order dated 28‑01‑2026 issued in Writ Petition No. 15337 of 2018 and affirmed on intra‑court appeal. The High Court examined the petition and considered the instructions produced by the State Law Officer, which indicated that the order had been complied with. The applicant did not dispute the authenticity of the instructions. Consequently, the Court held that there was no basis to proceed with contempt proceedings. The petition was therefore consigned to the record, leaving the applicant free to challenge the order in an appropriate forum if desired. The instructions were taken on record as Appendix‑A.
