Allahabad High Court

PRADEEP KUMAR RAIversusAKHILESH KUMAR CHAURASIYA POSTED AS DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL, ESTABLISHMENT, P.H.Q.

Decided

Holding

The Court disposed of the contempt application, granting the opposite party time to comply with the earlier order and setting procedural steps for service.

Summary

The applicant filed a contempt application alleging that the opposite party willfully disobeyed the Court’s order dated 03‑02‑2026 in Writ Petition No. 1407 of 2026. The Court examined the claim and found a prima facie case of contempt but noted that no notice had been issued to the opposite party. Consequently, the Court granted the opposite party an additional two months to comply with the earlier order and directed the applicant to provide stamped envelopes for service of the order. The opposite party was also instructed to inform the applicant of compliance within a week of receiving the order. The Court held that if the opposite party fails to comply, the applicant may approach the Court again, and the contempt application was disposed of at this stage.
