Allahabad High Court
SHRI NARAYANversusVIKAS YADAV, DIVISIONAL FOREST OFFICER
- Decided
- Bench
- VIKAS BUDHWAR
Holding
The court found a prima facie case of contempt but deferred proceedings by granting the respondent time to comply with the writ order.
Summary
Shri Narayan filed a contempt application against Divisional Forest Officer Vikas Yadav alleging failure to comply with the order dated 27‑02‑2026 passed in Writ‑A No. 3066 of 2026. The court noted that a copy of the order had been served but the respondent had not acted on it, establishing a prima facie case of willful disobedience. However, the court declined to issue a notice at this stage and instead granted the respondent an additional two months to comply with the writ order. The applicant was directed to provide stamped envelopes for service of the order and contempt application, after which the court office would forward the documents to the respondent. The respondent must comply with the writ court’s directions and inform the applicant within a week thereafter, failing which the applicant may approach the court again. The contempt application was therefore disposed of pending compliance.
