- Decided

Holding
The court did not find contempt at this stage and granted the opposite party additional time to comply, disposing of the contempt application.
Summary
The applicant, Santara Devi, filed a contempt application alleging that the opposite party, Smt Yogita Singh, Sub‑Divisional Officer, willfully defied an order dated 04‑Oct‑2024 issued in Writ‑C No. 32451 of 2024. The court noted that a certified copy of the order had been served but compliance had not been achieved. While a prima facie case for contempt was acknowledged, the court declined to issue a notice and instead granted the opposite party an additional four months to comply. The court directed the applicant to provide stamped envelopes for service of the order and contempt application, and ordered the court office to forward these within a week. The opposite party was instructed to comply with the writ court’s directions and inform the applicant within a week thereafter, with a further opportunity for the applicant to approach the court if compliance fails. The contempt application was therefore disposed of at this stage.
