Allahabad High Court

ALOK RANJAN AND 43 OTHERSversusMR. ASHISH KUMAR PANDEY, DISTRICT BASIC EDUCATION OFFICER

Decided

Holding

The court disposed of the contempt application, granting the opposite party two months to comply with the writ order and deferring notice issuance.

Summary

The applicants filed a contempt application seeking to punish the opposite party for willful disobedience of a judgment dated 06‑11‑2025 in Writ‑A No. 14195 of 2025. The court noted that the order had been served but not complied with, establishing a prima facie case of contempt. However, the court declined to issue a notice at this stage and instead granted the opposite party an additional two months to comply with the writ order. The applicants were directed to provide stamped envelopes for service of the contempt application, and the court ordered that the opposite party must inform the applicants of compliance within a week of receiving the order. The court further held that if compliance is not achieved, the applicants may approach the court again, and the contempt application was disposed of for the time being.
