Allahabad High Court

PUSHPENDRA AND 2 OTHERSversusSHRI AMIT TRIPATHI, TEHSILDAR, TEHSIL-MAHA VAN

Decided

Holding

The contempt application was dismissed because the writ order had been complied with.

Summary

Pushpendra and two others filed a contempt application before the Allahabad High Court against Shri Amit Tripathi, Tehsildar, alleging non‑compliance with a writ order dated 06‑10‑2025. The petitioners sought to hold the Tehsildar in contempt for failing to issue a caste certificate. The Tehsildar, represented by standing counsel, filed a compliance affidavit and an exemption application, indicating that the writ order had been complied with and the caste certificate was issued on 27‑03‑2026. The Court examined the affidavit, found that the order was indeed complied with, and therefore concluded that no contempt had occurred. Consequently, the contempt application was dismissed and the bailable warrant issued earlier was discharged.
