- Decided
- Bench
- ABDUL SHAHID
Holding
The appeal was dismissed because the death of the respondents rendered continuation of the criminal appeal purposeless.
Summary
The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner appealed a criminal matter against the deceased Raja Ram Jaipuria and S.P. Jaggi. Both respondents had died, as evidenced by death certificates dated 17 January 2015 and 18 December 2013 respectively. The court noted that the record could not be fully reconstructed. Since the parties against whom the appeal was filed were deceased, the court found no useful purpose in continuing the proceedings. Consequently, the appeal was dismissed.
