Allahabad High Court

UVAISH AND 2 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 2 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

Petitioners Uvaish and two others filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging aspects of the investigation. The State filed a charge-sheet against the petitioners on 27 June 2026, concluding the investigation. The petitioners' counsel, without disputing the filing of the charge-sheet, expressed a desire to withdraw the writ petition and seek relief in the appropriate forum later. The respondent's counsel raised no objection to the withdrawal. The Court, noting the petitioners' clear intention to withdraw, dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn, granting them liberty to approach the appropriate forum at a later stage.
