Allahabad High Court

FARIYAD HUSAIN AND 4 OTHERSversusSTATE OF UP AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

The petitioners, Fariyad Husain and four others, filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition challenging the investigation, but the investigating agency had already submitted a final report in their favour on 2 July 2026. The petitioners later informed the court that they no longer wished to pursue the writ and sought to withdraw it. The Attorney General and the respondent’s counsel raised no objection to the withdrawal. The court, after noting the parties’ consent, dismissed the petition as withdrawn. No substantive merits of the original grievance were examined.
