PREM PAL AND 3 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty granted to the petitioners to approach the appropriate forum later.

Summary

The petitioners, Prem Pal and three others, filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging an ongoing investigation. The State had already concluded the investigation and forwarded a police report against the petitioners on 06-07-2026. The petitioners, through counsel Kartikey Singh, did not dispute these facts but expressed a desire to withdraw the writ petition, seeking liberty to approach the appropriate forum later. The court noted the petitioners' request and, without further hearing, dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn, granting the liberty sought. The dismissal effectively ends the present proceedings in the High Court.
