Allahabad High Court

SMT. MAYA SRIVASTAVA AND ANOTHERversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

Petitioners Smt. Maya Srivastava and another filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging the investigation and charge sheet filed against them. The Attorney General informed the Court that the investigation had already concluded and a charge sheet was forwarded on 3 May 2026. The petitioners, through their counsel, did not contest this fact and expressed a desire to withdraw the writ petition, seeking liberty to approach the appropriate forum later. The Court considered the request and, noting the petitioners' intention to withdraw, allowed the withdrawal. Consequently, the writ petition was dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty granted to the petitioners to approach the appropriate forum at a later stage.
