Holding

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

The petitioners, Rambabu and five others, filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging actions of the State of Uttar Pradesh and three other respondents. The State’s Additional Government Advocate informed the Court that the investigation in the matter had already been concluded and a final report favoring the accused had been submitted. The petitioners did not contest this fact but expressed a desire to withdraw the writ petition. The Court considered the petitioners’ request to withdraw the proceeding. In view of the petitioners’ clear intention to discontinue the suit, the Court dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn. No further merits of the case were examined.
