Allahabad High Court

MANOJversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHER

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

The petitioner, Manoj, filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging the filing of a charge sheet against him. The State of Uttar Pradesh and three other respondents indicated that the investigation was complete and a charge sheet had been filed on 20 June 2026. The petitioner’s counsel did not contest this fact but expressed a desire to withdraw the petition, stating he would approach the appropriate forum later if needed. The learned Additional Government Advocate confirmed the status of the charge sheet. The Court, after hearing counsel, accepted the petitioner’s request and dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn, granting liberty to approach the appropriate forum at a later stage.
