Allahabad High Court

SMT GULISTAversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 9 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum later.

Summary

Smt. Gulista filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition (No. 21983 of 2026) before the Allahabad High Court challenging actions of the State of Uttar Pradesh and nine others. The State's Additional Government Advocate informed the Court that the investigation was complete and a charge‑sheet against the petitioner had been filed on 13 July 2026. The petitioner did not contest these facts but expressed a desire to withdraw the writ petition, seeking liberty to approach the appropriate forum at a later stage. The Court considered the petitioner's request and the procedural posture of the case. Accordingly, the Court dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn, granting the petitioner liberty to approach the appropriate forum in the future.
