Allahabad High Court

GULMOHAMMADversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 2 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

Summary

The petitioner, Gulmohammad, filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition before the Allahabad High Court seeking relief. The investigation had already concluded with a final report favoring the petitioner dated 21‑08‑2026. The petitioner later expressed a desire to withdraw the petition, which the learned Additional Government Advocate did not contest. The court considered the petitioner's request and the AGA’s lack of objection. Accordingly, the court dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn. The decision reflects the procedural rule that a petition may be withdrawn with the court’s approval.
