Summary
Mohd. Akram filed Criminal Miscellaneous Writ Petition No. 8817 of 2026 before the Allahabad High Court challenging the proceedings against him. The State had already concluded its investigation and forwarded a charge sheet against the petitioner on 5 December 2025. The petitioner, through counsel, did not contest this fact but expressed a desire to withdraw the writ petition, seeking liberty to approach the appropriate forum later. The learned Additional Government Advocate confirmed the charge sheet and the status of the investigation. The Court, noting the petitioner's request, dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn, granting the liberty sought. No substantive merits of the petition were adjudicated.
