Allahabad High Court
JITA YADAVversusSTATE OF UP AND ANOTHER
- Decided
Holding
The revision petition is dismissed as withdrawn because the parties have settled the dispute, leaving no cause of action.
Summary
Jita Yadav filed a criminal revision petition (No. 1970 of 2026) before the Allahabad High Court against the State of U.P. and another party. The revisionist's counsel informed the court that the parties had amicably settled their dispute outside the courtroom, resulting in the extinguishment of any remaining cause of action. The revisionist therefore requested that the petition be dismissed as withdrawn. The court examined the claim of settlement and noted that a settled dispute eliminates the basis for judicial intervention. Consequently, the court dismissed the revision petition as withdrawn, thereby closing the matter.
