Holding
The court held that a criminal revision may be withdrawn at the admission stage if the petitioner so desires and the opposite party does not object.
Summary
The petitioners filed Criminal Revision No. 5824 of 2025 before the Allahabad High Court challenging an order. At the admission stage, the petitioner's counsel, Raj Kishor Mishra, informed the court that the petitioners no longer wished to pursue the revision and sought to withdraw it. The State, represented by the Advocate General, raised no objection to the withdrawal. The court, after noting the lack of opposition, allowed the petition to be withdrawn and dismissed the revision. Consequently, the revision was dismissed as withdrawn without any substantive adjudication on the merits.
