Holding
The anticipatory bail application is disposed of, directing the applicant to seek regular bail within fifteen days and prohibiting any coercive action during that period.
Summary
The applicant, Ramjeet, filed an anticipatory bail application under Section 482 of the CrPC in a criminal case involving multiple IPC offences. After hearing, the applicant sought to withdraw the anticipatory bail application and instead file a regular bail application before the trial court, requesting an expeditious decision. The State’s Additional Government Advocate (AGA) raised no objection to this request. The High Court directed that the applicant must approach the concerned court for regular bail within fifteen days, and that no coercive action be taken against him during that period. The anticipatory bail application was consequently disposed of without granting bail, with a clear instruction that no further time would be granted beyond the stipulated fifteen days.
