The petition is disposed of at the admission stage with a direction to the respondent to decide the claim within one month.
Summary
Petitioner Rajesh Singh filed a writ petition seeking payment of salary arrears for the period 12 November 2020 to 31 May 2025. The District Inspector of Schools (Prayagraj) had forwarded his claim to the Director of Education (Secondary), Uttar Pradesh, via a letter dated 24 January 2026, but no decision had been taken. The petitioner, through counsel Namit Srivastava and Parvez Alam, argued that the respondent should act on the forwarded claim. The Court, after hearing the parties, found no merit in keeping the petition pending and, with the parties' consent, disposed of it at the admission stage. The Court directed the Director of Education to consider the letter and decide on the claim within one month, in accordance with law.
