Summary
The Committee of Management of Rishi Bhumi Inter College filed a writ petition seeking the court’s intervention to expedite the decision on its applications dated 1 April 2026 and a reminder dated 17 July 2026, which were pending before the Director of Education (Secondary), Uttar Pradesh. The petition relied on Section 16‑E(10) of the Uttar Pradesh Intermediate Education Act, 1921, alleging undue delay. The State and other respondents contended that the applications should be decided in accordance with law. It directed the respondent to consider the pending applications within two months of service of the order, thereby providing a time‑bound remedy.
