Allahabad High Court

KUMARI GULABI AND 126 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed because the matter has already been decided in Vaseem Ahamad (Writ‑A No. 15461 of 2026), rendering the challenge untenable.

Summary

The petitioners filed a writ seeking to quash an order dated 2 September 2026 and a subsequent notification dated 3 September 2026 issued by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, which barred Shiksha Mitras from applying for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination. They alleged that the exclusion was illegal and arbitrary. The Court observed that the same issue had already been decided in Writ‑A No. 15461 of 2026 (Vaseem Ahamad and 220 others v. State of U.P. and others). Relying on that precedent, the Court found no fresh ground to entertain the present petition. Consequently, the petition was dismissed in accordance with the earlier judgment. The order was signed by the presiding judge on 1 October 2026.
