Allahabad High Court

MADHUBALA AND 182 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed as the matter has already been decided in Writ‑A No. 15461 of 2026.

Summary

The petitioners, including Madhubala and 182 others, sought to quash an order dated 2 September 2026 and a subsequent notification dated 3 September 2026 issued by the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission that barred Shiksha Mitras from applying for the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) examination. The petition alleged that the exclusion was illegal and arbitrary. The Court observed that the same question had already been decided in Writ‑A No. 15461 of 2026 (Vaseem Ahamad & 220 others v. State of U.P. & 3 others) on 1 October 2026. Relying on that earlier judgment, the Court found no fresh ground to entertain the present petition. Consequently, the petition was dismissed in accordance with the prior decision.
