Allahabad High Court

SUNITA GAUTAM AND 12 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The Court ordered that the writ petition not be pressed, disposing of the petition pending the petitioners' intervention in the special appeal.

Summary

The petitioners, Sunita Gautam and 12 others, filed a writ petition challenging a transfer order. They contended that the order was issued pursuant to a Division Bench order in Special Appeal No. 398 of 2026 (Saurabh Kumar Singh v. State of U.P.). The petitioners sought a stay on the writ proceedings, stating they would file an intervention application in the said special appeal. The respondents, the State of U.P. and others, opposed the request. The Court, after hearing counsel, directed that the writ petition not be pressed pending the intervention in the special appeal, effectively disposing of the petition.
