Summary
The petitioner, Viplav Prakash Mishra, filed a writ petition seeking mandamus directing the State of Uttar Pradesh to grant a revised salary matrix, increments, and selection pay scale based on a final selection list dated 23.08.2016. The petition also requested the court to issue any other appropriate relief. The court, after hearing counsel, observed that the petition could be resolved without further adjudication and, with the parties' consent, disposed of the petition at the admission stage.
