SMT. LALITA DEVIversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The component of interest was correctly calculated and the writ petition is not maintainable, leading to its dismissal.

Summary

The petitioner, Smt. Lalita Devi, filed a writ petition challenging the calculation of a component of interest, seeking its increase to 12% against the State of Uttar Pradesh and three others. The petition argued that the interest component was incorrectly computed. The High Court examined the calculation and found it to be correct, noting no justification for raising it to 12%. Consequently, the Court held that the writ petition was not maintainable. The petition was therefore dismissed.
