Allahabad High Court
UMAPATI DIXITversusUNION OF INDIA AND 5 OTHERS
- Decided
Holding
The petitioner is directed to join the concerned institution on the specified date and may seek review of the order thereafter.
Summary
The petitioner filed a writ petition seeking relief against the Union of India and others. The High Court directed the petitioner to join the concerned institution on 7 May 2026 at 10 a.m. and to report before the concerned respondent, who would permit his joining. The respondents' counsel informed the Court that a copy of the inquiry report would be provided to the petitioner within two weeks. The Court disposed of the writ petition, noting that the petitioner remains free to pursue any legally admissible remedy, including filing objections to the inquiry report, which the respondent would consider, and that the impugned order may be reviewed if necessary. No substantive merits of the petition were adjudicated beyond the procedural direction.
