The petition is dismissed as infructuous due to the passage of time.
Summary
The petitioner, Bhoop Pratap Singh, filed a writ petition seeking to quash the order dated 3 September 2007 that cancelled his selection as Constable in the 47‑Battalian PAC, Ghaziabad, on the ground that his high school mark‑sheet was found forged. The petition remained pending since 2007 and no interim relief was granted. The Court observed that the prolonged delay rendered the petition infructuous. Consequently, the Court dismissed the petition as infructuous. No substantive merits of the forgery allegation were examined due to the lapse of time.
