Allahabad High Court
AISHWARYA SINGHversusUNION OF INDIA AND 2 OTHERS
- Decided
Holding
The petition is conditionally disposed; the claim will be considered only after the petitioner submits the requisite documents.
Summary
Petitioner Aishwarya Singh filed a writ petition seeking a compassionate appointment after her husband died in harness on 24-11-2025. The respondents, including a bank, asked her to submit certain documents by email on 24-12-2025, which she had not yet filed. The petitioner acknowledged the request and promised to provide the documents within three weeks. The Court held that the petition would be disposed of conditionally, directing that if the petitioner files the required documents, her claim will be examined under the prevailing compassionate appointment scheme within six months, following the Supreme Court’s decision in Malaya Nanda Sethy v. State of Orissa (2022). Consequently, the petition was disposed pending compliance with the document requirement.
