DR NEELAM SINGHversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 8 OTHERS

The petition is disposed, allowing the petitioner to file a fresh representation within two weeks.

Summary

Dr. Neelam Singh filed a writ petition seeking payment of his pension from the State of Uttar Pradesh and other respondents. The petitioner limited his relief to pension payment and indicated he would file a fresh representation within two weeks. The standing counsel for the State accepted that the petitioner's claim would be examined strictly according to law and gave assurance of such consideration. The court, noting the assurance and the petitioner's limited prayer, disposed of the writ petition while granting the petitioner liberty to file the fresh representation. Consequently, the petition stands disposed pending the new representation.
