Allahabad High Court

SHIV SHANKAR PANDEYversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 2 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is infructuous and is therefore disposed of.

Summary

Shiv Shankar Pandey filed a writ petition (WRIT‑B No. 4806 of 2024) before the Allahabad High Court seeking relief against the State of Uttar Pradesh and two others. The petitioner’s counsel informed the Court that the relief sought had already been granted by the consolidation authorities, rendering the petition unnecessary. The State’s standing counsel raised no objection to this development. On this basis, the Court held that the petition was infructuous and ordered its disposal. Consequently, the writ petition was dismissed as moot.
