Holding
The High Court dismissed the writ petition as the petitioner sought relief after the administrative process had already been initiated.
Summary
The petitioner, Mewati Devi, filed a writ petition seeking a direction to the Sub Divisional Officer, Sadar, Ghazipur, to decide an application filed under Section 67-A(1) of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 (Case No.14179 of 2025). The petition was filed after the application had already been submitted and a subsequent hearing date of 06.01.2026 was fixed. The court noted that the petitioner approached the High Court immediately after filing the application, rendering the relief sought unnecessary. Consequently, the court found no ground to intervene in the pending administrative process. The writ petition was therefore dismissed.
