Allahabad High Court

RAJVEER SINGH and ORS.versusSTATE OF U.P. THRU. SPL. SECR. INDUSTRIAL DEVP. and ORS.

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.

Summary

The petitioners filed Writ Petition No. 19162 of 2010 before the Allahabad High Court seeking relief against the State of Uttar Pradesh and others. Over the years, the petitioners failed to appear before the Court and did not file any illness slips for their counsel, indicating a lack of prosecution. The Court observed that the matter had become infructuous due to the efflux of time and the petitioners' apparent disinterest in pursuing the case. Consequently, the Court dismissed the petition for want of prosecution. The interim order, if any, was discharged, and the petition was closed on 18 March 2026.
