Summary
The petitioner, Chintu Tharu, filed a writ petition seeking compensation of Rs.5,00,000 for the death of his son caused by electrocution allegedly due to the negligence of Purvanchal Vidhut Vitrana Nigam Ltd. The court examined the submission that the compensation had been disbursed in compliance with the required formalities.
