Allahabad High Court

MANOJ KUMAR SHUKLAversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is disposed of, with the court directing that the inquiry be concluded expeditiously if it remains pending.

Summary

Manoj Kumar Shukla filed a writ petition before the Allahabad High Court seeking that an inquiry initiated against the Village Pradhan, based on complaints, be concluded expeditiously. The court noted that a preliminary inquiry had been conducted and a show‑cause notice to the Village Pradhan and the Secretary was issued on 17‑02‑2025. Since the counsel for both parties were unaware of the present status of the inquiry, the court found no reason to keep the petition pending. Consequently, the petition was disposed of, with the court observing that the inquiry, if still pending, should be concluded without further legal impediment. The order was pronounced by Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamshery on 18 September 2026.
