Allahabad High Court

FARIYAD ALIversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 4 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is disposed with a direction to the Additional Commissioner (Labour), Ghaziabad, to ensure execution of the labour court award.

Summary

Fariyad Ali filed a writ petition alleging that a labour court award dated 31-08-2024 had not been executed and the awarded amount had not been recovered from respondents 4 and 5, despite the award being communicated to the District Magistrate, Alipur. The petitioner sought the court's intervention to enforce the award. The High Court observed that the award remained unexecuted and directed the Additional Commissioner (Labour), Ghaziabad, to take necessary steps for its execution. The court also ordered that a report may be obtained from the concerned District Magistrate and allowed the petitioner to file a representation with relevant documents. Consequently, the petition was disposed with these directions.
