The claim awarded by the Railway Claims Tribunal is to be released in accordance with the earlier judgment, and the present petition is partly allowed.
Summary
Raj Kumari filed a writ petition in the Allahabad High Court seeking release of the entire claim awarded by the Railway Claims Tribunal. The Court examined whether the claim could be released after the earlier judgment in Writ‑C No.27617 of 2026 (Ram Naresh Singh & 5 Ors. v. Union of India) had attained finality. Relying on that precedent, the Court held that the claim must be dealt with in accordance with the earlier order. Consequently, the present petition was partly allowed, directing that the claim be released as per the prior judgment. The order was pronounced on 1 October 2026.
