Allahabad High Court
JOGINDRA SINGH PAL AND 7 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND ANOTHER
- Decided
Holding
The Court held that it may direct the petitioners to file separate representations and compel the Tehsildar to decide them within a month.
Summary
The petitioners filed a writ petition seeking a direction to the Tehsildar of Khatauli to consider their representation dated 27‑12‑2025 for issuance of English versions of Scheduled Caste certificates already granted to them. The State’s standing counsel argued that the petition should not be kept pending and that a direction to the Tehsildar would be appropriate. The Court, without examining the merits of the representation, ordered that each petitioner may file a detailed separate representation along with a certified copy of the order within one month. It further directed the Tehsildar to consider and decide each representation within one month of receipt. The petition was therefore disposed with these procedural directions.
